Installing
Where do addons go for WoW: Forever?
Into the
Interface/AddOns folder inside the WoW: Forever game folder. Open the game folder in the Battle.net launcher via the cog next to the Play button. If Interface or AddOns are missing, just create them. The getting started guide walks you through it.The addon does not show up in the AddOn list. What now?
Almost always the folder sits one level too deep. A
.toc file must be directly inside the addon folder, for example AddOns/Questkompass/Questkompass.toc and not AddOns/Questkompass/Questkompass/…. Then restart the game completely, a /reload is not enough for new addons.The game says the addon is “out of date”.
The addon was marked for a different game version. Tick Load out of date AddOns in the AddOn list. The background is explained in What “out of date” means.
Do I need an app like CurseForge or Wago?
No. You can download every addon as a ZIP file and unzip it yourself. The CurseForge or Wago app makes updating more convenient though, and both know our addons.

How do I see whether an addon has an error?
Type
/console scriptErrors 1 into the chat. From then on the game shows Lua errors in a window. More in Showing error messages.What is the best way to report a bug?
Fastest is our Discord, or email hallo@foreverui.de. Helpful are the copied error text, the addon version and what you were doing.
How do I reset an addon’s settings?
Close the game and in the game folder under
WTF/Account/<account name>/SavedVariables delete or rename the file named after the addon. On the next start the addon creates fresh settings. Many of our addons can do this themselves, check their help command.Will an addon slow down my game?
Our addons are built to do as little as possible and stay quiet in combat. If you still notice something, let us know. Disabling addons one at a time helps narrow it down.

Do the addons cost anything?
No. All addons and tools here are free, without ads and without a paywall.
Do the addons work in English?
The addons are developed in German first. English texts are on the way for each addon, check its changelog. The website tools like the talent planner and item database use the German game data.
Are addons allowed?
Yes. Addons use the official interface the game provides for this. They cannot do anything the game does not explicitly allow and do not automate gameplay.
Do you collect data about me?
No. This website sets no cookies and has no trackers. The addons send nothing to the internet. Settings stay on your computer. Details are in the privacy policy (German).
I have an idea for an addon. Where can I share it?
Very welcome in our Discord. What is already planned is on the roadmap (German).
Is ForeverUI part of Blizzard?
No. ForeverUI is an independent fan project. The Blizzard news page only shows headlines with a link to the original.
